AAAAaarrrrgg!! OVERSPRAY!

ok..i had a "scuff " repaired this winter....early march...some sanding on the nose end of the drivers side and repaint the soft nose and the area on front fender...they did a great job on the finish and color match...but now i see that i have a overspray problem...
It is on the engine compartment....thought it would wash of, thinking it was just dust from sanding...nope!...yellow paint speckels on a matte black finish...and my chrome....i washed it by hand gently...maybe i should try a power sprayer...
i also washed it this last weekend ...finally warm enough here.....and when im done i feel over spray on the other fender side and here and there.....
I had it as good and smooth as a 30 yr old paint job can be....now i feel over spray on it....
is a clay bar gonna remove this much overspray?
do i need to get a good wheel and remove it that way?
or do i just start rubbing with a good cleaning wax remover type product?
it isnt something i can see , but i feel it big time.
I dont want to make it worse and wax over it and help seal it onto my paint
any help greatly appreaciated...

I own a shop specializing in high end cars like Porsche and Corvette. Clay bar should take it off the exterior panels ok. Sooner you do it the better. If it dont to your satisfaction, take it back and have them wet sand the oversprayed panels with #1500 or # 2000 grit and buff it. With them doing it, if they go thru the clearcoat, they will have to repair it. They should obviously do it at no charge. As far as being in the engine compartment, about all you can do is try taking it off with a rag and small amount of laquer thinner. It might also damage the painted parts and plastic parts, so do so carefully. If your still stuck with some, your going to have to respray the affected parts. Again time is not on your side.

i calledthe body shop today and explained the situation...he told me they slimed my car before it was painted and then rinsed it off...so it seemed unlikely it is his overspray....then i told him the engine compartment has it on it as well...he wants to see it now....should i let them work on it or leave it to someone else to detail?

maybe i should do it myself if they dont care enough to cover it ...need advise here please....
