I've done this a hundred times before, but this is my first Corvette. I changed the rubber brake lines and did a system bleed (RR, LR, RF, LF order) and now I got lights. What did I do (or what do I need to do)?

I wish I could help. I wish I could help. :(

I'm sure it has something to do with the ABS system, but just what exactly I can't say. I'll see what I can dig up. ;)

The fluid got a little low in the MC. :duh However you would think that GM could give a usefull message like 'brake fluid low' not make all the warning lights for every part of the braking system come on :eyerole . Oh well, on to Zaino!

There's no sensor to detect brake fluid level, and I don't think I've heard of any car that had such a thing. (Seems like such would be very difficult to engineer if you think about it)

Personally, I'd rather have all the lights for every component in the brake system come on. Low fluid in the master cylinder is a serious safety issue that you really aught to panic about.

I see where you're coming from though. That particular set of lights makes your wallet flee in terror! :) Perhaps the vette should have an 'EASY FIX' light and a 'WALLET DOOMED' light to differentiate between these kinds of problems.

Beg pardon? There's DEFINITELY a low brake fluid sensor, at least in MY Vette. Sits near the bottom of the reservoir; single-connector black wire hangs off it. My Subarus have one, too. Why would it be difficult to engineer?

Guess I'm totally wrong on that one then. :(

I figured there's two things about the brake fluid... one is that it's level changes quite a lot when the brakes are in use plus g-forces moving it around at the same time. Second is that it's very corrosive fluid. But I guess these aren't insurmountable. I had no idea there was a sensor in there. First I've ever heard of it. But I'm sure you're right.
