My son's 91 model will flash the ABS light after you have been driving for about 10 minutes. It stays on for a few seconds and then goes off just like it would at startup. After that it does not come on again. Any ideas?

Take the car to a parking lot or a back road and get up to 40 mph or more and then just stomp on the brakes and make them go into abs mode. If you have a piece of dirt in the sensor this may shake it out. At the very least it will tell you if the abs is actually working.
I just looked at my fsm. In there it mentions that the brake fluid level switch will give signals if the fluid is low you might look at the fluid level.
