Ive driven my 01 vert about 5000 miles, I get in, start her and up on the DIC I get "ACTIVE HANDLING WARMING UP" later "ACTIVE HANDLING COMPLETE". Anything to worry about, or pay some attention too? thanks for any help..

Does it happen all the time?
I've heard several people say that is normal when it happens occasionally, particularly if after you pull a slow, tight turn. It does it to me sometimes.

I get it often...

Basically when you drive the first 50 feet after startup and have the wheel turned...

it will set the D.I.C message you are seeing.

I believe its normal or so I've been told by quite well respected Techs.

I say don't worry about it.

The computer system is probably just doing some gonkulations to make sure it can read all of the sensors properly. I get the same message from time to time too.

I get this message, too, from time to time. When I get it, it happens right after start-up, if I hit a patch of ice or something in the parking lot and causes one of the wheels to spin a bit. It goes out almost immediately with the "Warm Up Completed" message, so I've always thought it was normal, and never given it a second thought.

thanks for the responses guys, girls. Well im glad to here that its not only me. Its also only happened one other time and if I recall, I think I was in one of those situations you described. Thanks again.

I had the same message, ended up being the wheel sensors, not the tire pressure sensors but a wheel sensor. Ask your dealer about it.

HI there,
Active handling warming up is a normal message, as the computer is looking for the centered reading from the steering wheel position sensor.
Service active handling is something different and should not be confused.
Allthebest, c4c5
