I'm gonna try and install a 10" sub in my passenger side storage compartment. I dont know if this has been tried before, but im gonna try it. Just wanted to show you guys how this goes.

I attached a pic to show what im talking about.

I'm not absolutely sure where im gonna put the amp.

I was able to store the jack in the storage compartment directly to the right of one i intend to hold the 10". Also, ill probably just build a custom box lid to set on top of the door tray, and use the compartment walls as the rest of the box. If im not making any sense hopefully soon ill have some pics up.

ive been thinking about doing this

im still not sure what my car sounds like with the windows up/tops on ;)

in DC today, we were next to this guy in a big giant suv (well, it looked big and giant from my point of view) and he put his subs up to probably around 3/4 volume, as I could feel the vibrations and hear a distant bass sound...

but could not hear anything clearly / loudly over my exhaust.

hehehehe

Of course, it will be hard to hear anthing with loud exhaust (I have it too). But i figure winter is coming and that means windows up, so ill see what this sounds like.

Here in Ca. we drive with the tops off durring the winter just use them to keep the sun out of my eyes.
Well most of the time any way does require a little heat and a hat.

If you want to just use the walls of the compartment youre going to have to seal it like crazy....... honestly i'd make a box out of mdf to fit in there, and a whole wooden plate over the rear to replace where the compartment door frame is...... then you can just pull out the box when you want and have it carpeted to match and not look so "out of place" I would have done just this if i didnt already have 2 12"s and everything else in there.......
