Adjustable Strut Rod Instal?

I'm trying to install some Adj strut rods and the passenger side seems to be hitting the stop on the spindle support. Did I read some where before where I might have to grind a little off of the stop to get the shock mount lined up?

That seems to be the only way to line it up, I tried for a while and knicked it up on the top side while trying to line it up and get the shock mount all the way through. The drivers side was a tight fit, and I don't want to screw up the threads on the shock mount.

Any ideas?

Got it in, just hit the flat end of shock mount with grinder and ramped it through with a bfh.

I still thought I saw something about these struts binding, it seems tight. Or was it the smart struts?
