Adjusting Windows

We started adjusting the windows after new Weatherstrip install and found a broken window guide.Anyone know what this part does?
and how it fits in the operation of the window?

That part is to lock the window in position. If that one is broken and you grab the top of the glass when the window is open you will be able to tilt the window up and down in the cars direction.

Fixed...Seems to be fine.

Yes,It will affect the window operation!!
It's still available from GM,I usually keep at least one R and L in stock,I'm out right now only have a right in stock!(Just ordered 2 sets last Friday in stock order!)
People closing the door by the glass will brake them!!
