AFS Wheels in Canada

Has anyone purchased AFS wheels and had them shipped to Canada? AFS is telling me that the shipping costs and taxes will be ridiculous and that no one really buys from Canada. Im looking for a set of ZR1 rims and new tires.

Got a friend in the US?? Give him the money to purchase them (in USD!)with delivery to his place. Go visit for a weekend and take them to a tire store and have the wheels mounted and then drive home. What are the chances that Canadian Customs might remember your car going into the US with the wheels that were on it??

Customs fees and taxes would probably eat up a big chunk of money, not to mention the shipping but I don't think the shipping charges are going to be be that high. It's still based on weight, package size, and the distance.

Try Discount Tire or even a Les Schwab store. Tell them you want AFS Wheels specifically.

You may have to make two trips; one to order the wheels and pay for them and the second to get them installed.

Thats a good point actually. I live in Winnipeg Manitoba which is pretty close to the border. Ill call around down there and see what I can find out. It seems like that is my only option unless I want to pay up the a$$ in shipping and duty.

Next time you go on vacation in the states just buy them and bring em back, you have $700CAD for each person over 7 day stay.

I did that with a bunch of parts, my 5 year old daughter claimed 650 in vette parts, gifts for daddy.

I have been enquiring around about the same thing I really want the 315s on the back.

There are other companys that make the ZR1 wheel in the correct offset.

Ive looked at a few other companies. I take it none of them are in Canada though.

I get along with my local Firestone shop really well, and he has catalogues of various guys he buys from that have ZR1 wheels.

I TALKED TO CANADIAN TIRE THEY WANT $300.00 TO $400.00 PER WHEEL DEPENDING ON SIZE AND PAINTED OR POLISHED. TIRES ARE $465.00 FOR 315 35 17 AND $371.00 FOR 275 40 17. HOPE THIS HELPS. CHECK DETROIT WHEELS SITE TO SEE THEM.

I ordered the wheels and tires from AFS while ago. The price for both was just over $1600cdn shipped to the door including all duty and tax.
