are you just looking for short throw? I know the big corvette parts companies sell a kit that works with the factory shifter... maybe someone here has used it and can give you more info.
I am wanting to put in a Hurst shifter. I know at last one guy that put in an INDY Hurst shifter with the stock linkage and said it worked really well. Just had to make a mount bracket for it was all and was wondering if anyone on this board had done this.
There is no manufacturer for a direct replacement shifter assembly for the Doug Nash 4+3, at least not yet.
It sounds feasible to me that a shifter from Hurst for a Borg-Warner Super T-10 four-speed would fit if you could figure out how to mount it. That is the basic problem with finding an aftermarket shifter; the Corvette DN 4+3 shifter assembly is mounted to the tunnel area of the floorpan. When you change transmissions, such as replacing the DN 4+3 with a Richmond 6-speed overdrive (ROD), you must cut out the old shifter, then fabricate and seal a new transmission tunnel cover for the area you cut out.
Update,, another chevy guy on another forum is attempting this mod and he will make extras fora fee, I will wait to see what he comes up with before I do anything,,, why re-invent the wheel?
