Aren't they annoying--here is the answer I've found. The tapered screw that secures the mirror to the body is often too long. Take the screw out and grind down about an 1/16th to 1/8th of an inch and try it in the mirror again. This should make it tigh and secure.

Mine are tight as can be :thumb When I installed them they came with a rubber "T" shaped anchor with a threaded nut inside. Drilled two holes using the included template and pushed the anchors into the hole. Put the mounting bracket on it and screw it down, which draws the rubber anchor up and locks into place. For my kit I am not sure making the screws shorter would help. But thats the kit that I used from MAM.

I also replaced BOTH mirrors so that one didn't look 30 years old and one new.

I replaced both of mine from two different suppliers and both were loose until I modified the screws.
