I have a couple of old Sun tachs that I used on points ignition. I have seen comments online before that state an old tack won't work with HEI. I have also seen posts that state a new tach works fine with points. Listings for new tach don't say anything about points or electronic in their specs on Summit and others. So, is there any difference or can an older tach be used on HEI?
