I'm thinking of buying another set of ZR-1 style rear wheels so I can keep the original stock wheels & tires for road trips and interchange with a drag radial. Will putting the aftermarket rear wheels on which don't have the LTPS in them cause codes to be set? I will continue to run the stockers up front with the LTPS's.
Thanks..... :D

The LTPWS looks for 4 sensors - if it finds less than 4 sensors, it sets the service LTPWS light. However, if it can't find any sensors, it doesn't set any lights. So, with 2 in the front and none in the rear, you will get the service LTPWS light.

My 91 ZR-1 with no sensors in the after market wheels lights the LTPWS's full time. My solution was to pull the fuse which also runs the cruise controll. In my opinion if there was ever a car that doesn't need cruise controll it's the ZR-1. 84 CF 91 ZR-1
