Did you talk to the owner?

His number is in the ad... find out if he knows it's a salvage title and what the story is. Maybe that explains his $24K BIN price?

I wonder if it got wrecked and then they put it back together with the Aerobody? It's not a Callaway body install, it was done elsewhere.

What does Callaway say about the car?

What would it be worth with a clean title, and clean prior history? In other words, between his buy it now option and pure clean retail? If he is giving a strong discount, and if the salvage title was due to a theft recovery, or a collision rebuilt with good repairs, it may still be a good deal.

The sad but true reality however is that no matter how clean or rare the car, he can honestly expect to get full clean retail due to the title alone. It raises way too many questions for the average buyer.

Otherwise, I think it would look great in your garage.
