i having the hardest time finding the AIM and or shop manual for my 84.. maybe im just not looking in the right place, i had no problem finding them for my 82;shrug.... only book i could find for this car was the haynes book which is ok at best............... but i wouldnt get elbows deep in anything with only that around.. unless i needed something to stand on!

Haynes manuals for Corvettes tend to have inaccuracies. Also, for later model Vettes, the Haynes books are useless if the subject is engine controls diagnosis.

I suspect you can buy a factory service manual for an 84 from one of the big, Corvette parts houses, ie: Mid America, Corvette Centeral, etc.

Also, the original publisher, Helm, inc. may still have the 84 books in print.

:thumb Good used FSM's

There is no AIM for the C4. You'll need the Helms manual.

If you plan on having the car any length of time and do repairs yourself, one repair can easily recover most of the cost of the manual. I wouldn't attempt repairing much other than plugs , wires etc without the manual.

Even if you don't want to do the work yourself the FSM is good to have so you can lend it to your mechanic.

Its absolutely esential if just for thr electrical troubleshooting guide. I've actually wanted to put the guide on our website ....but scared I'd probably get sued!

$80 is actually the price they were in 1992...so thats quite reasonable! I've seen some places sell them for $150 ....when Helm has them for $74...Scary Eh?:ohnoes

I have the same manual. Check out the last sections 8 and 9 and see if they are missing :)

It works but is missing a few things, I found out the hard way !

will check it out when it gets here, i know that they revised with two newer one from my understanding, but i figured for 20 bucks, ill start here :upthumbs

BY the way if any of you have any oldsmobiles i have Tons of FSM in my basement mainly from like 90-98, anyway let me know what you have and if i have it ill make you a deal you cant pass up.
