I noticed that on my 98 with Dual Climate Control, that the AC indicator light is on all the time, even if I turn the temperature up as far as it will go. It seems to work fine, cool when asked, hot when asked. But the light never goes out.
I checked the codes, I get 99-HVAC/ B0338HC. This translates to INSIDE AIR TEMP SENSOR OPEN.
Is it common for this sensor to go open or is there a good chance that a poor connection exists? I'd hate to buy a new sensor and then find out something else is the problem. Do I have to pull the dash apart to get at it or is it right there beside the ignition key?
I'd appreciate any input ....
Thanks, Ron ....
