Air Filter upgrade required?

I just installed the B&B bullet exhaust on my 2003 and love the way it sounds! I'm not sure if I need to do anything with the air filter, the car seems to run fine as is but do I need an aftermarket air filter or any other modifications done so I don't hurt the motor??

A different intake certainly isn't required but most guys do. It'll make some difference in sound.

It's not required, but is a good idea if you plan additional mods (like cam, intake manifold, etc), in order to realize their full benefit.

Thanks guys, guess I'll sit tight on any additional mods for now. Things are sounding and running just fine, was only concerned I might damage something.

You could swap out the standard air box lid with one from a C5 ZO6. The ZO6 air box lid has an opening that about 3 times larger. That's fairly cheap swap to add a little air to the air filter. Then keep a good clean air filter in the air box.
