Air Vent Question

Hi,

I am writing this on behalf of a friend who is rebuilding a 1975 Corvette here in Australia.

The car has been converted from left hand drive to right hand drive (ie the steering wheel is now on the other side of the car) and in the conversion some of the air ducting has been removed and lost.

Apparently there are movable "ball type" air vents at each end of the dashboard out near the doors, and his have no pipework behind the vents. Can someone please tell me where this pipework originally connected to? Obviously one end connected onto the "ball type" air vent, but where did the dother end of the ducting go? One idea he has had is that is went to the front pillar where there is apparently a vent of some description.

Any ideas (or photos) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ray in Australia

If its anything like my 69, the ball vents go directly out the sides via a small 90 degree plastic duct above the larger fresh air vents. Although they get the air from the same area-inside the fender from the wiper area. I've seen replacements for all these parts at most of the vette wesites like Zip Products. Good luck!

Love that Australia! Been to Perth and Townsville-beautiful. Great beer!

Thanks 69MnyPit,

We are in Cairns which is 4hrs drive north of Townsville, and yes, I like our beer too!
I will have a look for Zip products on the internet.

Cheers,
Ray
