I am thinking of an airbox change and looking for the best thing out there. I am considering Blackwing, Vararam, or Granatelli Dual cone setups. Water is an issue so I am leaning away from the Vararam a little. I am also installing a Garanatelli MAF. Anyone have any problems ? Some people talk about piston knock after changing the MAF but Granatelli tells me that it won't happen. I would appreciate any recommendations.

Welcome to the :CAC

I have heard good things about the Vortex Rammer - in fact that was the 1st mod my neighbor did :)

Thanks for the reply. I have just discovered the Rammer and have been looking into it. Trying to find installation instructions to make sure there is no cutting involved.

I highly recommend the 2002 or later Z06 Air Filter Lid. It's about $48 and performs and sounds great. If you are under 405 hp, it should help a lot. Dyno results show great improvement. I use a paper filter, but you can go to a K&N (watch MAF oil problems). This filter lid is OEM and is designed for no water problems.
