alarm transmitter not working???

tried to activate my alarm through the transmitter on key chain, and nothing is happening. went out and bought a new battery for the key chain transmitter, still nothing happened. i did disconnect my battery to work on the car earlier in the day, does that have anything to to with it. i thought maybe this might have happened to someone else. thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

Hi there,
Please stand next to your fuel filler door, and hold the lock and unlock button for 15-30 seconds, or until the locks cycle to lock and unlock.
This should resyncronize your transmitter.

hey, thanks a lot. it did work after about 15 seconds. any idea why this might have happened.

Due to rolling code frequency technology, sometime this may occur, even without disconnecting the battery.
However, 98% of the time, you will have to do this when you disconnect the battery.
