When I just put front tires on my 06 C6 they called to say my tie rod ends were loose and needed to be replaced. I told them to proceed which included the alignment but now the car is scary at speed. When you hit even small bumps, especially in turns, you feel excessive chatter in the front wheels. They drove it, felt it, checked to be sure everything was tight and rechecked the alignment.
They called it "bump steer" and acknowledge that something is wrong, they just don't know how to correct it. This work was done at my local Goodyear store....
