The weather is warming up, daylight savings is this weekend, and the 'Big Show' is right around the corner. Mark your calender and be sure to swing by G'Burg Vettes' All Car, Truck, & Bike Fun Show and Cruise-In.

The band, radio stations, vendors, kids' activities and awards are ready to go. All we need now are the vehicles! It's going to be a great time.

Saturday April 22 is the date. See you there.

Well, this is it. 5 days and counting. The big event takes place at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds this Saturday April 22 at 1:30. 5 hours of fun in the sun with cars, music, food, fun, and great people.

Criswell Automotive will have a HUGE display of cars, trucks, bikes, watercraft and other power sports vehicles. ‘Denise & Friends Band’ will be playing live music. Hard Times Café, Potomac Pizza, Damascus Methodist Church, and Temptations Ice Cream will be selling food. Moon Bounce and activities for the kids. Child safety seat inspections and child finger printing will be available. James ‘JB’ Brown from FOX & CBS Sports is expected to come out with his crew and one of his incredible cars. The Adrenalin Crew Stunt Bike Team will be performing live. Local radio stations MIX 107.3 & Classic Rock 94.7 The Arrow will be broadcasting live from the show. And oh yeah……and some of the areas nicest Vettes will be on display along with other vehicles of all makes and eras. There should be something for everyone!

Admission is free to the general public and a modest fee is charged if you wish to participate in the Cruise-In or the Car Shows. All proceeds benefit The Stepping Stones Shelter in Rockville, MD and the great work that they do. www.steppingstonesshelter.org

Visit www.gburgvettes.org or www.criswellauto.com for more information or to register on-line. We hope to see you there on Saturday!!

Looks like Mother Nature has decided to challenge us. After about 6 gorgeous days in a row the rain is a coming. There is no rain date for this event so the show must go on.

Obviously some activities may be cancelled but the show and cruise-in are still a go. Hopefully the rain will come tonight and clear out for tomorrow afternoon. Either way, plenty of activities and entertainment are still planned and the members of G'Burg Vettes will be out in force.

Remember - "There ain't no party like a G'Burg party 'cause a G'Burg party don't stop!"

Hope to see some of you out at the fairgrounds tomorrow.

Well, Mother Nature sure rained on our parade Saturday. 24 hours one way or the other and we would have been fine. Weather was the one thing that we had no control over and it sure didn’t go our way. The real bummer is how nice the weather was for 6 days before the event and everyday since! Oh well, we had a great test run.

Since the weather was so bad we obviously canceled most of the day’s events. Because it was a NCCC sanctioned event we had to hold the Corvette show in the rain. We had 14 Vettes in the show (one all the way from PA – thanks John & Diana) and another 6-10 that cruised in. Some imports and trucks also cruised in for a couple of hours. Special thanks to the members of Free State Corvette Club, Corvette Annapolis and Tri-County Vettes for making it out to support G’Burg!

We contacted most of our vendors/entertainment and told them not to come out in the rain. Hard Times Café and Mt Airy Methodist Church decided to come out anyway and make the most of it – the food was already prepared after all. MIX 107.3 FM braved the elements and came out to provide some tunes and have fun with us. It was wet and nothing like we had hoped but we made the most of it and had a pretty good time anyway. The good news was that the after-party started a little earlier than expected.

So there’s always next year right? We are definitely planning on doing it again next spring but we are also looking into having a fall show in early October. Stay tuned……..
