Me Too

Before and after I bought the 62 I starting collecting all the articles, magazines and sales brochures I could find. Some interesting reading, fun to look back on.

Interesting reading. Thanks Bob. I wonder where they got the idea that power steering was available and that 3.70 was the shortest gear available.

You know I have to say I really enjoy these old articles.Going back some 43 years and listen to the author tell about how this car is state of the art.

Remember this is only 8 years after the first introduction of a fiberglass car.

Motor Trends timing seems a little off as they present this 61 road test just as the 62 models are hitting the show room floors. Back then a September issue actually was a September issue unlike today where the September issue of a magazine would be on the newsstands in June :)

Did you notice that the drawing is a RPO687 with a 270?

rpo 687

also showing large hub caps.where most had the dog dish and 15 "and 5 1/2 " wheel.

I saw that too but it didn't dawn on me at the time. I guess you can do anything you want when you are the guy doing the drawing. :L
