2016 Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic Z06
Yes, my husband and I ALMOST bought a 2008 Atomic Orange ZO6 a couple of days ago!!!! Alan came down to Corvette Mike's where I work and saw this gorgeous ZO6 with 4k miles and before I knew it, he and Mike were working on a deal trading in the '02. Needless to say, we got a good deal, but it was still going to be a whole lot of $$ out of our pockets. We thought about it for a few days and made the decision to pass. After all, we're both semi-retired now and don't have that kind of disposable money to pull out of the bank. And we're not touching our retirement funds. :nono

One option would have been to trade in both his '02 and my beloved '05 which would have made it an almost break-even deal. However, as many of you know, I have to have my own Corvette, and it has to be a ragtop!! I know, I know...we may live to regret our decision, but there will be something somewhere down the line.

In case anyone is interested in this beauty, check it out at 2008 Corvette Z06 Atomic Orange Metallic with Ebony Interior
and give me a call!!

I understand Elaine. I could see trading one of your Vettes but not both! I've had to keep a tight rein on myself a few times recently because there have been temptations. ;squint: I keep telling myself that the next Corvette in my driveway MUST be a Midyear roadster or it will likely never happen at all due to factors of age, finances and approaching retirement.

I have to admit, though, this 07 Monterey Red Roadster at Corvette Mike's gave me pause... lucky for me it's a 6 speed and I'm auto all the way.

Resisting temptation is over rated. You know you want one.:reddevil

You're absolutely right!!! However, I am looking beyond the joy of owning a C6 ZO6 now. When I'm ready to give up my own Corvette, then Alan and I will look into getting one Corvette for the both of us. Maybe by that time, they'll be making a ZO6 with a ragtop!! :L

I'm being strong and resisting the temptation!!

Be still my heart, what a great looking ZO6!
Listen to the Dark Side.......go for it! ;)

They do make a Z06 with a ragtop, it's called a Grand Sport. :thumb

The new Grand Sport is VERY nice, but it's not a Z06. The LS7 is the ultimate naturally aspirated small block, and almost certainly the end of the 427 line. Experience them while you can. :D

Happy Veterans Day:pat

I flirted with the idea of buying a C6 Z a few months ago. But reason got the better sense of me so I "settled" for a C5 Z.

One day, maybe I will.

I agree, Exprience them , before the day come and fuel Price will be doubled!
:rotfl

FYI: in KUWAIT , the cost for one gallon (95 octane) = $ 1.00 . :D
how much in your State??

Horseshoes and hand grenades, Elaine. :L

Good luck with resisting the temptation (or giving in). It sure is a nice looking Z.

That beautiful Z06 is now in the able hands of a friend of mine. I delivered it to him yesterday. Happy Z06'ing to Jay and Janet!
Now I'll have a Z06 buddy on the Cape.
