alternator mystery solved finally

Well we finally found the problems with the alternator belt. Actually there were 2 problems. One being the car is a 74 but it was made in Sept of 73 so there was a different belt layout than on a 74. The other problem was someone had welded the bottom bracket at sometime and did a really bad repair so we ground it down and welded it properly. Finally the belts line up properly.

Alternator Bracket??

Sorry. Don't mean to thread-jack. But I had to share some pics of the rigged up alternator bracket as it was when I baught the car. (Yup. Thats three broken bracket pieces)This item helped to convince the PO to drop his price though. This assy is going on the display shelf in the WTF section. What will I find next, I can't wait.
I think the alt is where the AC compressor should be too. Have a good laugh y'all. I did.
