Alternator problem

This is a question not about my vette but about my van.

Last week the alternator seemed to be dieing, the output with the van running was 8v and dropping while the battery was full. So I picked up another Alternator and put it in after 3 days it died, they said it was a faulty Alternator.

But now with the new alternator I am getting about 13.5 - 13.9 V with the car running.

Is there anything else that would kill the Alternator or something I should look at.

Ughhhh...

I have had problems like that. They are the most annoying. Faulty parts, bad remanufacturing, bad battery destroys starter and alternator..... yeah, look at those too.

Battery

Those three will wreck each other soooooo fast if they are grossly out of sync.

you should be getting 14.2 volts with the car running and the lites off
