I want to get a set of american racing rims (torque thrust D) for my 86.
The tires i am using are Yokohama P255/50 R16. Jegs catelog does not have the Thrust D's for a 16 inch rim.

Just wondering if anyone has seen these for a 16. i did see them at one point on an 84 vette, and pretty sure they were 16 inch.

I haven't personally seen any, but you should check with American Racing to see if they carry it. Sometimes the catalogs don't show all options available. Also, sometimes the manufacturer can make a custom set for you. ;)

ARE does have a Torq-Thrust D in a 16x8 size but you should find out from them what offset is available for that wheel. You'll need 38mm or very close to that. Also check caliper clearance. The stock tire should fit.

The Torq-Thrust II is very similar in design and they have both a 16x8 and 16x9.5 and also offer custom backspacing in that size.

Call discount tire, they are cheap and can get you what you need
in any size. You can get those in one piece only (16's) If I am
correct, 17 on up can be in 2 piece.
