Well, yesterday the my son and I took our 88 coupe out for a late afternoon ride. She's a real fine vette, red of course, with chrome Torq Thrusts and Magnaflows in the rear. With 72k miles on her, we only drive her about a thousand miles a year now. But yesterday seemed special as it was the first day to feel like Fall here in northern Maryland. The temperature was around 75 degrees and the "redhead" really liked that cool air. My boy & I waved to the three other vettes we saw and got the wave back as expected. A lot of our brothers must have been at Carlisle this past weekend so we didn't see as many vettes as we usually do. No matter as we took all the country roads and had a blast. After about 50 miles, we headed home. I put the redhead in the garage, wiped her down and cleaned the glass. As evening fell, I cracked open a Schlitz and stood back to admire what a fine car the Corvette is and what a pleasure it is to own one. ![Thumbs Up :thumb :thumb](/data/assets/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
