I would like to have 300kpa in the rear tires. Att that pressure i get High Tire Pressure alarm. The limit is 289kpa.
Iff i do the TPM programming at 320kpa will the sensors learn that as a new limit or will the limit always be 289kpa ??

sorry for al the questions.

Something I saw on here about tire pressure and the sensor system stated that the computer can not be adjusted to read higher pressures as normal.

I have got new TOYO tires. The company that put them on told me the rear tires schould have 300kpa and the front 260kpa. So with that pressure in the rear i got the warning constantly.

Max--

Are you sure they aren't telling you that 300kPa (~43.5psi) is the maximum amount of pressure you should inflate to under maximum vehicle load? The OEM tires are run at 30psi (207kPa), and I believe that's what most tires are/should be inflated to on the C5. From the Vette tires I've seen, they usually say that 44psi is the maximum pressure you should use, and only then for maximum weight loading.

It's a curious coincidence that they (the installer) say about 43.5psi and the max loading I've seen on these size/type tires is 44psi. I'll bet they're just telling you what's on the sidewall of the tire, mistaking this for what the tire should be inflated to under normal loading. I had the same thing happen with my Bronco-- they said the tires were underinflated and were supposed to be at 50psi (345kPa)... Not! That's maximum loading; normal pressure for those tires is 35psi. Anyway, I recommend you get a "second opinion" about those tires than that coming from the tire installers...or get any dental work reinforced before driving too much! ;)

Hope this helps,
Fred

fhturner....I think you are right. The tag on the drivers door says 210 kpa. I will go with that. the cars feels good with that tirepressure.
Thanx // Max
