I was out looking at the '03 Z06 at the dealership yesterday, and for the first time I noticed that it's antenna on the outside of the car, instead of in the rear window. Is this because the rear window is so much smaller on the hardtop than on the coupe? Just wondering.

That could be one reason, the convertible's antenna is not in the rear glass either. But the convertible has a power antenna, the Z06 didn't because of the weight savings concept associated with the Z06. A little here a little there and next thing we know the Z06 is about 110 lbs lighter than the coupe and connvertible. That's a pretty good reduction. BTW the Z06 is only about 38 lbs lighter than the 99/00 FRC weight.

The weight difference between the Z06 and FRC comes from the titanium exhaust and thinner glass.
