I'm going to install a set of TPI headers and Random Tech converters. I will still be using the stock O2 sensers. Anyone have codes come up, check enigine light, or drivability concerns? Plus will the PCM need to be "tweeked" after these repairs?
Its a 01 w/ 19,000miles and A4

Thanks Anthony

Hi there,
The problems that may occur, is cooling of the converters at idle, or inefficiency of the new converters.
Sometimes, based on cooling of the converter substrate, the PCM may pick up on the reduced efficiency of the converters, and set a code.
In extreme cases, P0420 or P0430 can set in the PCM, showing the converters are not working correctly.
Some people install exhaust gas simulators in the rear 2 oxygen sensor locations. This is not something that is recommended, due to the way the PCM monitors and adjusts your fuel given to your engine.
Placement of your converters is the most critical part of the system, to ensure that they work the best.

c4c5 hit most of the bases but there is another issue with some aftermarket cats which are smaller in volume that OE. I hear anecdotal evidence that some aftermarket, high-flow cats, are not as durable as OE parts. They have less catalytic reactants in them, thus, they will sucessfully act as a catalyst for a shorter period of time.
