Hard top on a 62 looks sharp but they are to heavy for me to install and remove form car. I know the price range can go for $30 on up so I'm not sure what to buy. Not interest in the motor driven hoist. I could make one if I had some ideas. What are you hardtop guys using.

In my younger days I used to lift mine off by myself. Now I would need someone on the other side helping. Check the Corvette parts vendors like Ecklers. It seems like I have seen manual lifts that mount to the garage ceiling rafters and make a pretty easy job of it. You could raise the top off of the car then move the car out from under the top. Then lower it down onto one of those top storage racks and wheel it to a corner.

The one you are talking about should look like this setup.
It comes with a black harness that attaches to the roof.
After attaching it to the roof, lift with the rope and tie it
off to the supplied cleat.

Simple and basic but it does the job.
