Over the weekend, I was able to do some research on my dad's '59, and found out that he remembered selling it to someone named Ray Marsh in the DE/MD/PA area. According to what he remembers, the guy bought the car, titled it "Mister Twister", and set it up for track racing- He believes the car only survived one pass down the track at Cecil Dragway (MD), as the driver's chute didn't open, sending him into the trees. Is anyone familiar with the name of the car or the driver?

Thanks in advance,

If anyone can provide more info on Ray Marsh or this car, I would greatly appreciate it!!

OMG!!!:eek

I almost wish I hadn't opened that link after seeing the car as your dad had it earlier. I really wasn't ready for that..

I do love the old gassers though. I remember Big John and the S&S guys from the Indy Nationals. I went to cecil County several times while I was stationed at APG in '68. They always had a good show.
