I'm considering buying a G-Tech Pro SS.

I was wondering how well you liked or dis-liked it?

I have an older model. Bought it about a yr ago for $30. I see the new models have lot more options with a graphics screen etc. They actually seem to work, very good for getting baselines for tuning etc. Fun toy if nothing else.
If I could spare the cash I would get the new model

I've got one of the newer models; I don't think it's the SS but it has the same features (and is flash-upgradeable). It replaced my original GTech Pro (the one without any real controls). I like it. I haven't looked at the HP feature yet, but at the strip the tach reading was right on, and the shift lights were useful, and the times/speeds were darned close to the printed time. I look at it as a tool for seeing if my mods have made a difference, rather than for straight-up times and such.

I've had a problem with the suction-cup staying on the windshield, though. It'll stay up for 10-15 mins and then fall off, usually at the absolute wrong time.

The G tech measures speed at the quarter mile where the time slip is average of last 130 feet so G tech can be accurate and not agree with your time slip.
