Well said. If I were in your garage I would be drooling on your floor looking at that SWC beauty you have.EBVette said:There nice but not my taste.... I rather have my 63 dripping a little oil in my garage////
IH2LOSE said:I am not here to defend this type of a car,But to me its the best of both worlds,I built one and absolutely love the car.I have a choice in my garage, Take a C5 for a ride,Take a 1966 427/425,or take the custom 62 I built.Maybee because its new to me but the 62 has been getting the most miles on it out of all of them.
I get the ride of the C5 and almost the same power as the 66 built into one car,and the average person doesnt even realise it not a stock frame under the car. This car is steady as a rock way up in to the triple digits,
You guys know I am a C5 driver also I am not knocking the average C5 drivers but, nothing was better then having one pull up to me a light and turning his nose up to me and the 62 only to let him leave the light real hard thinking he was out running us,I kept my front fender next to his door, He got onto the highway and I followed his lead stuck on his tail, untill I had an opening to sail by him way up in the triple digits. That guy had to be scratching his head as to what happned and I was sure he was looking into a new cat back excaust and intake filter that afternoon
To me there are 3 different classes of collector cars
1-survivor,virgin,original,untouched since new-not many of these around.I seen 3 of them in person.1 was at the run for the ribbons in PA and the other 2 were famous big block vettes owned by one guy I think name Joe
2-NCRS type restoration -This one i dont have to describe.
3-Personalized custom. This is where most of the corvettes I have seen fall into. Some may install a differant motor, different suspention, aftermarket stereo, Maybee a chromed out motor,
Any ways its Not original, its not a NCRS restoration so the only other thing it could be is a personalized custom. And yes some might say they could unbolt there parts off of there personalized custom and make it a NCRS retoration car, guess what I can do the same (may take more effort and money )so it seams we are all in the same class.
I agree. I've seen the Classic Reflections car in person. It's very nicely done.Mark Stahl said:Check out this site www.crcoachworks.com I personally like this very much. Mark.

The Classic Reflections conversion is around $50k if I remember correctly.Mark Stahl said:AS well as the 64 I own a 01 vert. Very tempted to get a price for the 01 to have the conversion done. Mark.
