anyone in Atlanta area that can check on a '78 Vette for me?

I found a '78 Corvette in Roswell, Ga which I believe is just outside of Atlanta....I would like to purchase it, but need someone that can go check on the car that is knowledgable about '78 Corvettes. If anyone would be able to check the numbers and give their opinion of the car, I would appreciate it....let me know....thanks, Herb

Herb, I am about the least expert person here on car shopping, particularly on older years.

But if nobody else with more experience steps up, I would be happy to go look and take a million photos for you, and/or have you walk me through a checklist. Roswell is indeed part of the "metropolitan ATlanta area", and not too far from me. 30 minutes or so.

I got your PM and called the owner. I have an appointment to see the car on Friday at 5pm. I'll take some pictures for you and give you my overall impression.

Is there anything in particular that you want me to look at? Rust at the kickups, paint condition, VIN number, block number.

We have a sheet here that was put together to go over a car and I'll use it and complete it to the best of my ability.

Took a look at the car tonight for Herb. Nice car. Good paint and interior, drives nice. Called Herb and reported in.

I forgot to mention that it had glass tops Herb and they appeared in good shape.
