I bought two diamond cut headlamps off e-bay and they came today. These lenses have two wires coming out of the housing that go to a small blue colored bulb. What the heck is the blue bulb for??????? The diamond lenses I have now, have no such bulb. :confused

find the serial number or any thing has number or model number... put it search at google maybe you get some kind of answer... or put in headlamp + serial number or number.
Good Luck

Connect the wires to a 12V power source and see what happens. Does the bulb light white or amber? Do the headlamps have a built-in turn signal bulb or running light?

You've seen the ricer cars that drive around with fog lights as their main lights, and small blue lights above? I think that's what you've got. It's supposed to look cool.

Be extra careful when you install them, or you'll wind up putting an underbody light kit on next.

My guess is Headlight Strobes...Might hook up to a strobe module

;LOL.Not likely Rich.

I hooked the wires to 12 volts and the light is blue. I'm guessing it is supposed to give that cool ricer look. NOT what I'm looking for. The main bulbs that came with the kit are 125 watt which is slightly more then the krypton bulbs I have now. I'm only changing them because condensation has gotten into one and it's affecting the eveness of my beams.
I will install them when I'm done painting and buffing out the repair to my hood. Looks like I'll need a garage heater for Christmas.

Thanks for the input folks.

Without seeing the lamps, my guess they are "city lights"

euro cars use them as parking lights.

since vetts have flip up headlights just leave them un-hooked.

If they have blue bulbs get rid of them. The cheapest H4 bulbs (hi-low replaceable bulbs I think) stock watt, white will put out more light.

DON'T put overwatt bulbs in without a relay kit!

Ciebe e-coded lamps make great light worlds better than any sealed beam bulb.

I won't connect the smaller lights. The only issue now is that I'll have to modify the headlight bucket some more to accomodate the little "shaft" that the bulb sits in. Not a big deal since I had to modify them for the lenses I have in there now. The bulbs I use now are 100/80 and have been working fine for over a year.

Thanks for the info everyone...:)

My existing bulbs, the 100/80 work fine. The new diamond cut lenses came with the 125 watt bulbs which I may or may not use. My current lights are a bright white with a slight bluish hue and are great at night. I'll test one of the 125 watt bulbs and see how big a difference there is.
