hey thanks for the link, but it has some stuff that differs from other info i have found do you know anything else personally about, I found that they were supposed to have an L89 with the l88 type hood and the black stinger different, and some other little things
thanks again

There's no L-88 hood in the original-era photo above your post.

i saw that after i made my post

if nothing else the car I found is a l89 car, it was delivered in texas and built the day they landed on the moon, it was gold and has some other stuff, m22 (rock crusher)tranny and some other cool stuff a rearview mirror that is different some odd stuff and the serial number is unique in a certain way, either way it is a cool car

They were sold through, and delivered by, Jim Rathmann Chevrolet in Florida; the one in the article received its Top Flight award at the Lousiana Regional Meet two years ago, and the other two have long-since faded away.

One Was At Hershey 2003

Last year I saw one of them at the NCRS meet with formerly Guy82, I have pictures here somewhere but I can never get them the right size and still see them. I'm sure it's the one John speaks of.

Lunar Module Pilot Alan Bean’s Corvette (which had LMP written on it) was on display at the NCRS 2003 National meet in Hershey, Pa last summer. 81Kix (Janine), Lou, my wife and I were furtunate to talk to the owner who let Janine sit in the car while he took pictures with her camera. Obviously the owner was quite the gentleman, open and proud to answer questions. When Janine asked if she could take a picture, he said, "Give me your camera and get in the car after I take a t-top off for you." He says so far the other 2 cars have not been located.

Hey, Guys -

I was lucky enough to get pix of this car at the NCRS 2003 in Hershey, PA. If anyone wants them hi-res - please let me know.
