Yes it is Jim. I enjoyed making new friends this year.

Overall auction sales were up over the 2009 sales everywhere except Russo and Steele. They did manage to recover somewhat with sales at the end of Sunday at 6.88 million. Their auction was to extend through Monday at last word so I don't have a final figure. Hagertys put the automobile damage estimate at one million which seems a little light. That may have just been for the cars they insured.

Here are the top 25 sales of the week at all of the Arizona auctions. Stats courtesy of Hagertys.

Big aluminum tent poles the size of phone poles. Not only did they fall but the tent blowing in the wind whipped them around like clubs.

This '62 FI was at Russo and Steele. I hope it didn't get damaged.

I talked to the owner the Wednesday after the auction, and Paul told me it was "in escrow" with an 'after sale' buyer. I had a backup buyer, but as of today he has not called back, so I assume the car has sold. We will see it on the Vintage Race events later this year. A very well documented SCCA club race Corvette with history starting in Southern California, then going to Canada then back to Northern California and then Wisconsin.

The hobby is well.

I'd like to take it for a few laps. Looks like a lot of fun.
