Arrrrgh....new dyno information....the plague continues

Just out of curiosity, are you losing fuel pressure at any time ?

The microfueler function is easy enough to test with conventional electronics troubleshooting equipment. What's the deal here? You put varying pressure on the input to the microfueler and watch the pulse width of the injectors change as you increase pressure.

It's got me wondering if the microfueler is even working. I'd get my money back on the chip re-tune. 14:1 is still too lean. It's almost as if the microfueler is disconnected entirely.

Plus, take this into consideration. The stock injectors on an '88 Vette were ~22lb/hr injectors. At 43psi of fuel pressure you've got a max flywheel hp rating of <400 hp without the microfueler. If you're seeing 400 to the wheels you're at 460-480 flywheel. Nice! But it's toooo lean! Kabooom! Be careful!

Mike disconnected the injectors one time to see and he could barely get to 3200rpm before he had to back off. So I think the microfueler is functioning.

Thats it! I'll have Mike pressurize the vaccum line and cause the microfueler to come on at idle. Then he should be able to put a test light on the injectors to see if they are pulsing right?

Eric, dyno runs have been aborted when the car gets that lean. The only good pull was at the 13:1 ratio when it made 400rwhp. Mike still wants it a little more rich.

Sam, Im not aware if we're losing fuel pressure. I wouldn't think so due to the fact that fuel delivery on the high end of the rpm band is fine.

Josh, you just never know with EFI. there's no harm in putting a fuel gage and watching what it does during a pull. This will at least let you see what's happening at the rail.

Sam, Mike just called me back, I asked about the FP. He said he had the guage on when he made the runs. It was holding. :beer

BTW when this is all sorted out we might have to run your ZR1 against my B2k :L :D

cool ! our test track needs new cars :beer

as fun as it would be I don't have the ballz or the money to play you guys' league :D :D :L :L

Depending where I am when I get the bill, I may do a little boost tuning and see what kind of numbers we get. All the power so far has been made on stock boost.

Surf - you are having too much fun with this!! Thanks for illustrating the benefits of the upgraded Wonderbar option :upthumbs

Once you get this thing done, see if you can break 200 mph :beer
