how far off the ground is yer ass when sitting properly ina C4 corvette..?
im guessing about 8 to 12" but im sure somebody here knows...
:w

Well, gee, Bucket. Why don't you use a ruler and let us all know the answer.

I'm just 'guesstamating' here, but in my C-4 I believe I'm at six or seven inches off the ground. In my C-3 I rode a little higher at about 9 inches, and I have no idea in the 2003 C-5 50th AE ?:eyerole

Why the heck do you care?? Must be something in the air and water in California, since like the 60's...ewww. JK, on the last part.

Enough already,,, 12 inches from ground to seat with slight pressure. 2 inches lower when you sit in it ? I think my grade school math says 10 in . :D

Now bucket, the JK in 93Rubie's post means "just kidding". At least I'm pretty sure that's what he meant. ;)

You guys have gotta start using the smilies so that the facial expressions and fine distinctions lost in translation over the internet can be replaced in your funny posts. :L

I have to admit this is not what I expected when I came to the thread... Ass ride, indeed... ;)

exactley what were you expecting.?;shrug:booty:z:bang:pat:CAC:v:grouphug::lou:lou

Each and every Corvette related forum has it's appeal and folks have to decide what they like or what they don't like. There's some good folks who hang out in the Valley. Evidently, they like what they find there although it doesn't appeal to me; to each, their own.

As a matter of principle, the staff of the CAC don't routinely engage in "flaming" other Corvette related forums although we're aware other forums don't always reciprocate that courtesy.

Yes, I was "just kidding", although as of late...you know the saying, "as goes California goes America," well...judging by the way things are, ie.huge deficits, debts, stupid gov't programs such as cash for clunkers,etc...maybe there is at least some truth in what I said of California. I'm just saying.;shrug

Then again don't pay any attention to me I'm a "bitter, Christian clinging to my gun" as the "Chosen One" called us Pennsylvanians. But I digress...:soapbox

Even if the seat isnt far off the pavement, I dont notice, you see very well out of C4's with great visibility so...who can compain about that. Plus as always it keeps the center of gravity low so we can scoot around corners! Sweet!!!:lou

dont blame me, im from texas...lol
i shouldnt have to explain my attitude toward my Savior and my guns...
and this lead also leads to another such as putting the seat lower....
i feel like im sitting too high...i guess its all the licktronics under the seat taking up space..
thats what i loved the most about a C3 was the seat was on the floor....

Hey, Nothing wrong with TEXAS, still one of the best states in the union. I like the way those people think, very Independent. :thumb

I think the reason you "feel higher" than in a C3 is that the C3 has a higher belt line. The glass on a c3 is less than on a c4, look at the new Camaro very short green house (glass) makes you feel low in the car and very pill box like.
The c4 has taller green house (glass) which make you feel higher than you actually are. The motors and what not may raise the seat slightly. Keep in mind as well that C3's have a pinched area of the cabin where your shoulders are because of the design of the car. The c4 got away with this as humans are wider at the shoulders than the waist. Narrow waist area, wider shoulder area, more room, and roomier feeling.

Well most of us have wider shoulders and our waist area. :rotfl;LOL

yes, well maybe not most , but some..:)
i have a 45" chest and wear 32x36 501's...whats left of me..after years of doing my own stunts..
and the tight fitting seat is a big deal to me since i draw a tiny check for spinal and related permanent injuries.(all in the line of duty , of course)
the support i get while i drive a corvette is therapeutic ..
in my wife's accord..it's torture..
the seat is weired, the steering wheel is too far away because i have the seat all the way back etc etc..and the pedals are too close...its a good car though...:cool
this is a strange thread..lol:beer
