Assembly books

I keep seeing mention of the AIM books. Where does one go to get a Corvette assembly manual? Can I get one at a book store or do I need to go online to get one for my 79.

I bought mine on ebay but most corvette parts vendors have them in cd or paper text. Try Zip<-- to the left, I bet they got em

FWIW: Order the GM chassis and service manual for your year while you're at it. Get a reproduction owner's manual if you don't have an original.

I have the original owners manual but it does not have exploded views on many of the assemblys that I would like to see. My cousin has a 55 Bel Air and he uses the CD but has to print out details of the areas he has to work on. I would like to use the book.

True, but it's great for the daily operations of the car. You'd be surprised at the number of folks who do not have one. Store your original in a safe place out of the car. Put the reprint in the car.

Same here. I have both and much prefer the printed version.

Sorry about getting back to you so late. Thanks for the offer. I checked with Pacific Corvette Parts in Portland OR and they have the assembly manual I am looking for. I appreciate you help.
