Does anyone have any experience with the 1-Piece Astro Top from http://www.astrotops.com ?

I have a broken Passenger side T-Top, and the Weather stripping is gone on both sides, and this looks like an economical replacement. The car is definately not a show car, and really the only time the tops are on is in bad weather.

Comments / Pros / Cons / Opinions ???

Thanks,
Steve :w

You may want to call them before ordering. Someone posted on another message board that the phone had been disconnected there.
I've heard stories of them blowing off, but the only one that I've looked at seemed to be fitted nicely and didn't have any of the gaps that I'd heard about to catch air. Some shimming of the center post attachment tab may be needed to prevent rattles. Overall I liked the top.

I have the astro top. I think that it is a good investment for the money. I don't perticularly like the way it bolts on but for the price I can live with it. It cuts down on the wind noise tremindusly.

I have had the astro top for three years now and other then the fastening system I like it. It has not blown off and does not leak as much as the t-top did

A little follow up...

I called the office last week, and the phone was answered on about the third ring. The guy I spoke with was polite & friendly and discussed the terms with me. The only thing I'm a little shy of is they have a $30 re-stock fee. If I try the top & decide I don't like it, I have to pay them $30 to return it (plus s&h both ways, which is understandable).

I stopped by their booth last year at Carlisle, and naturally they discounted the top by about $30, but I didn't go for it. The guy I spoke with also said they usually discount it at Carlisle by about $30, and that if I could wait, I'd be able to save both the discount and the s&h (another $50). Also if you buy it at Carlisle, they will walk it over to your car and fit and adjust it for you (I think it was another $25).

My main concerns are:
1. Will the top really stow behind the seats (laying flat).
2. How does it look as compared to the T-Tops.

I know the fastening system is a bit more involved than the original T-tops, more like the method used on the C4, but it is also more secure (anti-theft wise) than the original.

Those of you that have it, are you happy with the looks, and does it really stow in the back, and is there anything else I should be thinking of?

Thanks for all your feedback!

it will fit in the back of the seats, I have a CD changer mounted behind the drivers seat and speakers in the rear and can still fit it in, not much room for groceries though.
