How exactly does this system work? By converting my car to a NON A/C convertible rear clip verses a T-Top ventilation system how will it be affected?

Or will nothing be noticed? Looking through a assembly manual for a 75 convertible it shows the rear deck vents are operational with what appears to be vacumn lines of which this clip had none. I honestly have no desire to try and make these decklid vents work just to much work !!!!! Or will the stock 82 setup still work correctly without any work?

Astro-Ventilation is the GM marketing name for the fresh air system they used from 68-75. On non-AC cars, it provides outside air to the passenger compartment (after a fashion) through the kick panel vents, dash balls, and the top of the center cluster. Cabin air is supposed to exit through the panel in the back wall of the rear storage compartment.

AC cars use part of the Astro-Ventilation system for cold air supply. Your stock 82 AC system will probably work fine. The later cars do not have the vent panel in the rear compartment wall.
