ATF Leaking

When I bought my car about a month ago, someone had apparently overfilled the transmission fluid. Now, from time to time it leave me with ATF on the garage floor.

Is that a normal occurance due to overfilling and then getting hot during driving?

Do I need to worry about this as long as it's not running low?

You probably have a blown seal or a leak at the pan.
