Hi all

anyone planning on going to the Atlantic City Car Show in a few weeks.
The dates are Feb 24-27.
Right now my plans are to go to AC Fri the 25th, stay over, and hit the show on Sat the 26th.

If anyone else is planning to go maybe a bunch of us can meet up there?

Mark, you are really close so I assume you will be going at least one of the days?

Barry

Barry I have been going to this show since I was a kid and it was over in the old coluseium up on the board walk. Recently I feel it has gonbe down hill with who they allow to set up booths Years ago it was all car vendors, now its like a flea market with baskets, rugs, flowers, and just plain old junk scattered about the area,If they would seperate the car vendors from the flea market I would continue to go. This year I will be in atlanta on buisness and will not miss being at the show.

Good luck and have fun,I belive John Loli is always at this show also

sorry you won't be going.
Last year was my first year going so I have no comparison to previous years but the cars were real nice and I had a good time so I hope to have a good time again this year also.

Larry & Barry -- Yes I am going to the AC show. I will be there both Friday and Saturday. I go these days purely on tradition. It is the first event of the season for me and I enjoy it. I am sure Mark aka VNV will also be there. I enjoy looking at all the cars and sometimes chuckling over the asking prices. I usually end of buying something there be it a tool or a part that I probably dont need :)

I may be in NJ that weekend helping my Son move but I don't know how much spare time I will have. My wife can always be talked into going to AC, where is it and what times. My memory is so bad anymore I can't remember what type of show it is Custom/Street Rods or dealer new models.
When I was a teen (60's) I lived down the street from Les Dunham who built Customs He painted and made the seat for a Mini-bike that I built and put in one of the bigger shows and took first place. It is the only trophy I have, once I was able to drive I was more into the "go" then the "show";LOL

Hi JL66

we should find some way for any of us going to get in contact with each other. I would imagine a lot of us here probably have those motorola 2-way radios. Mabe we can decide on a certain channel to use to get in contact with each other once we are there

Hi boss

try to make it if you're already going to be in NJ anyway.
The show is a nice mix of custom cars, restored cars, etc. - not dealer new models.
it's held at the new AC convention center

Barry

To clarify things a bit, the Atlantic City "show" isn't really a "show", it's an auction. They'll run 900 or so cars through the auction over a 3 day period.

There are cars in the "gallery" for sale. The flea market has deteoriorated over the years. Used to have lots of guys selling parts. Several vendors told me years ago that the cost of a single vendor spot got so expensive that they couldn't afford to go to sell. Chuck

Chuck

true, it is an auction, but to me, if there are cars there and I can walk around and drool for the day looking at them and dreaming they were mine, than it's a show!
;LOL
