Auto Memory Recall Question

We recently ordered our dream car... a 2006 Metallic Silver C6 with the Z51 package. We've opted for the museum delivery and are hoping to get the car in May or June. Now we're into the AGONIZING waiting period!

To keep us occupied we've been reading through all the posts here (thank you for all the great information), and even downloaded the owner's manual. We have a question we're hoping someone out there can help us with.

The owner's manual indicates that the Auto Memory Recall function is an option for automatic transmissions only. Does that mean that it's standard with a manual transmission, or that it's not available at all? Ours is a 6-speed and we're hoping that the Auto Memory Recall function will be included. Anybody out there with a manual transmission who can tell us?

Hey Vette Boy, it is a 3LT (kind of a major thing to leave out - sorry about that). Anyway, good to hear we've got it - thanks for the info.

Auto memory works really well and is a very useful option, especially if there are two drivers as it avoids the need to adjust everything manually before driving away. One thing that the manual doesn't tell you is this:

If you make a minor adjustment to a feature whilst driving, for example the mirrors, and then reprogram the memory, it re-initialises the Satnav, so you loose your current journey, caught me out in the middle of a very busy City!

Sorry but auto recall is only available with a automatic transmission. If you have a 6 speed manual trans you must push the button on the door after you get into the car for the seat and steering wheel to move into place; you can set it for fob 1 and fob 2; the only difference is that one has to push the button, which I find is no big deal.

My M6 wont activate unless the emergency brake is on. Otherwise it works great 3LT pak

I just ordered mine too. Museum delivery should be early July. Please post your experience. I'll do likewise. I will probably take my 9 year old grandson for his birthday present!
