I just purchased a 78 Silver Anniversary (L82) for my Daughter. It has an Automatic tranny.
(This makes three Vettes, this is my first Automatic).
I had a 79 L48 4 speed, and I have a 96 LT4 6 speed.
The tranny looks new.
It shifts with a snap from First to Second and the third gear shifts almost immediately after second engages.
From first to second it feels ok (although shifts with a snap)
but it takes less than a second and it's changing to third and I can barely feel it...also, no snap like first to second.
Doesn't seem to want to accelerate like I expected in third either.
The fluid is clean and full (within the lines when hot)
Engine runs pretty good. No overheating, good oil pressure, no smoke from the tail pipe.
Any advice????
