guess that means the "one owner" Z06 will be over $200k then! good for me! looks like I need to have Tony do another appraisal!

1963 CHEVROLET CORVETTE 327 SPLIT WINDOW COUPE$70,200.00
Thursdays SWC....Red on Red L76

...I am more interested in what the silver 1963 SWC will bring in a few mos. this spring at auction - A/C 300hp car as used by the Franklin Mint for its scale models of that year :cool

Hi! Collin

Have you had a chance to determine why the large difference in price of the L76 option 1963? The only option listed for lot 383 was the leather saddle interior.

Ray,

This is what I got from a person who was there and examined the car...

"Steel headlight buckets on a 155XX car, probable front clip, suspect trim tag. Nicely assembled, probable restamp - bidding advancing in $2500 increments between two bidders to 82,500 when the 80K bidder said "100".

The additional 8K was B&J fee of 8% commission....

So final was $108K....unreal....

Did you see the black '63 Fuelie sell this afternoon for 87k? Both tops, 42000 miles documented and all original down to the paint with knock offs added. I would have to say that it was a good buy. It was a beautiful unrestored car.

Hi! Tom

Sunday was buyer’s day and Saturday was seller’s day. Sunday’s prices seemed to be down in comparison to the other auction days, money spent and bidders gone home. I would bet that there were a lot of disappointed sellers on Sunday.

I too liked the 63 fuelie and thought it was one of the better buys of the weekend.

There was a gold Willys street rod/show car that sold earlier in the week for 177k. The buyer evidently couldn't come up with the money so they run it back through Sunday. I told my wife that this guy is going to be sick. It stalled at 100k and then got a second wind up to 134k or so but the guy lost over 40k from the first sale. Yes, it was obvious that most of the money was already spent by Sunday unles someone was waiting on a certain car.
