OK... so I went to my regular Tuesday crusie location and decided to take the Vette. She ran great the whole way there. About an hour later one of my buddies wanted to hear the motor with the open pipes. I went to oblige him, but the car wouldn't turn over. There was power, but nothing going to the starter. I jiggled the quick disconnect and tried again... and she fired! So I thought all was fine. On the way home.. she started to hesitate a little and then started backfiring off the drivers side pipe.

I am thinking I just have a bad terminal connection, and it is causing a retarding of the firing. Does this make sense?

I did change the oil durring lunch today, and recently did a plug and wire change... but she ran fine after both services.

Let me know what you all think.

Thanks,
Dave

Low voltage going to the coil, caused by your loose battery connection at the quick disconnect.

Or not enough tape.;LOL

Does anyone know of a quick disconnect that is not a POS?

Seriously condidering taping this thing!

I don't like them. Never found one that I trusted due to this reason. Tape the livin bejeepers out of it!
