bad luck with new glass top

So, after a little bit of searching on craislist, i found and bought a brand new in box replacement top at a great price. i drive 2 hours to pick it up, 2 hours back home.get home,pull it out the trunk and the box opens up and there goes the top on the driveway. it got scratched and nicked up pretty good.but i'm lucky it didnt break or chip. its nicked up through the clear coat and what looks like into the plastic itself. still tryin to get a pic but hard to show up. is there any hope or would i have to have it sanded and resparayed with clearcoat ?

that sucks
for a decent repair you will need to refinish it with a UV resistant coating
